A Thanksgiving Bento for my Little Lady: hardboiled eggs with nori and cheese decorations, cheese letters (which spell "Thankful"), apple slices and trailmix.
I’ve gotten behind on both photographing and sharing the Little Lady’s preschool lunches; mornings, like for most families with babies, are a bit unpredictable. Just when you think you can move to the next agenda on the morning’s list, Baby Barney demands a diaper change, a feeding … or just some Mommy-loving.
It’s hard being three months old.
October and November have been fun months as far as Bentos go; with iconic Holidays and specific classroom themes, we’ve had a ball planning bento lunches. We’ve run into one snag, though — she’s getting tired of my vegetable options. Although I don’t have pictures, I have started rotating roasted purple potatoes through out the weeks and that’s helping the monotony of carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, celery and edemame.
If ANYONE has any other veggie ideas (ones that will do well in a bento), please share!
Now … on to a few of our recent Fall Bentos (and please forgive the quality of my camera-phone!):

Owl Bento: mini quiche with owl face, grapes, orange tomatoes

Falling leaves Bento: Peanut Butter Pocket Sandwich with a Colby Cheese tree and falling leaves, cucumber slices, carrot chips and a couple of snickerdoodles.

Halloween!!! Mummy Dogs, "Boo" cheese letters over Sugar Snap Peas, Monster Mouths (apples and almonds) and a pumpkin bread cookie.
The Little Lady will have one more “fall” themed lunch tomorrow (I’m thinking a Turkey of some shape or form) and then it’s on to CHRISTMAS!

These are awesome!!
I love all of these! Very adorable.
I usually have mostly vegetarian options in my bentos – soyrizo, potatoes, asparagus, etc. I find mixing soyrizo with beans is a great little lunch and very filling.
Those are super cute, Rachel! Does she like green beans cold?
I haven’t tried cold green beans — I bet she would though. That girl can eat her weight in “hot” green beans. Good idea! Thanks.
Are these very hard to do? Where do you buy the supplies to do these? I would love to know as my son would LOVE it if I did this for him!!! Sooo cute!
You don’t have to have “official” bento supplies to do these kinds of lunches. I use regular old cookie cutters!
Here are a couple of posts I’ve written covering tips and where to get stuff/what can be used:

I think this is a great way to give kids a vairiey of food. I love your round up.
Thanks! My daughter loved eating them.
Too cute!
I would be over the moon with excitement about those!
Super Cute! This would be perfect for the Thankgiving Bento Link-Up at Diana Rambles. Entries taken through Nov 27!
these are so cute, I love them.
I love those eggs!
These are too cute!
Great ideas!
Ahh! I love the mummies.
How did you make the mummy dogs? Is it a crescent roll strips wrapped around the hot dog? I love that and will have to try it out! Adorable bentos, I would love any of those in MY lunch too!
You can really use any dough: pizza dough, crescent dough, biscuit or bread dough. The key is to cut your dough into thin strips so they can wrap easily around the hot dog and take on the appearance of a mummy’s shroud.
