Nursery Inspiration from the Rich, Famous, and Creative

So — yeah, nesting is kicking in.  BIG time.  With my previous two kidlets, I’ve been able to deal with my nesting tendencies by planning and decorating their nurseries.

But poor Numero Three will be sharing a room with one of his or her siblings.

(sorry kid, you won’t get a brand new, “decorated just for you” room like your big brother and sister)

And, even though I KNOW this . . . I still find myself browsing design sites to look at nursery pictures . . . torturing myself in a sea of unbelievable baby nursery designs.

(sigh . . . I really need help)

While touring celebrity nurseries as well as the nurseries of “everyday folk,” some of what I came across is just crazy (like the 11 foot moon in the photo at the top of this post); but some of it is simply exquisite.

Here’s what I’ve found … and now, let the envy begin:

What’s your design style when it comes to a baby’s room?  Do you dedicate yourself to a theme or particular look?

  1. Those are gorgeous! I’m ashamed to admit my children’s rooms are bare. Not a drop of paint of the wall. Poor baby #3′s room is still an undecorated playroom. All that decorating cost money and we just don’t have any to spare. So bare walls it is!

  2. Some of those nurseries are fanfreakingtastic! Love them!

I wish I had the creativity for something like that.

  3. Great inspiration! I love the Barn Door Nursery. So cute and rustic.

  4. I love Tiffani Thiessen’s nursery – it’s so elegant and serene. I’d never be able to deal with keeping all of that white clean though.

  5. That’s so cool! Though having money doesn’t mean you have design sense… Tori Spelling’s kids’ rooms hurt my eyes!

  6. Where do you find this beautiful stuff?? These are incredible!

  7. None of my kids had nurseries either Rachel :) I love the photos you picked out!

  8. I absolutely LOVE Christina Aguilera’s Nursery! Incredible!

  9. I LOVE the barn door one!! That is my style, LOL!

  10. One of the coolest nurseries I’ve ever seen was just an ordinary (non-rich-celebrity) family’s, it was literary themed with their favorite children’s books showcased, like Where the Wild Things Are, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Goodnight Moon, & Dr Seuss stuff….it was awesome.
My third baby didn’t have her own room either. She can deal with it in therapy. ;-)

  11. Those are some amazing nurseries. Really puts mine to shame ;)

  12. Holy Moly! ummm wow? Talk about Nursery Inspiration!

  13. Beautiful……I always wanted to go all out on my kids, but can’t afford to oh well. I love window shopping photos lol

  14. Most of them are cute, but the barn door one is a little much for me!

  15. Some are really pretty, others are just plain hideous. That moon man in Christina A’s nursery is just plain scary! LOL!

  16. These are SO fun to look at! I am not even pregnant and now I want to decorate a nursery, ha! I tend toward modern with bright colors – or at least I did for the boys. If we ever have a girl, I don’t know what my style would be!

  17. LOVE them.

the little boy I nannied (also my cousin LOL)

Had an awesome nursery. His step aunt (I think) had painted Peter Rabbit Murals on the walls. It really was spectacular.

  18. Tiffani Amber Thiessen’s Nursery is my favorite, I also like the christina Aguilara one. :)

  19. Beautiful nursery ideas….out of my price range but beautiful none the less!

  20. Wow I wish I had the money to make some of these nurseries!

  21. I love all of these…but I think I love the first one the best. The moon is too cute!
