Learning About Our Food. Sort of.

Steamable Lobsters

This is what happens when your talkative, friendly, precocious Kidlets go to the grocery store and meet a friendly, kid-loving, lobster-wrangling Seafood Counter Manager.

And now they think the store lobsters are pets … there just for their kidlet-sized entertainment.

But the Little Lady still wants to try one.

  1. You crack me up! I can’t remember what movie it was, but the actor said something like “I like to look my food in the eye before I eat it.” Little lady reminds of that :)

  2. We love looking at them in the store…

  3. I prefer mine on a fork as well ;-)

  4. I don’t want anything to do with those in a tank, in an ocean, in a pot or on a plate. I’ll leave it ALL for the little lady!

  5. I liked to look at them in the grocery store from a distance. ;)

  6. My daughter was fascinated by the lobster tank when she was little. But jeez, let them pet a lobster once, they’re going to ask to do it every time!

  7. So funny! My son would never be able to eat it after petting it. lol.

  8. HAHA Mine wouldn’t want to eat it after that!

  9. Haha, your daughter is such a character! What a strange visit to the seafood section – cool but strange :P

  10. Little Lady is my kinda girl. I saw that picture and starting thinking about dunking that bad boy in butter.

  11. yum, lobster.

  12. Your kids are braver than I am! I prefer my lobster be available with a side of drawn butter.

  13. That’s. Awesome. Good kids come out of experiences like that. And I agree with Little Lady, nothing wrong with eating the lobster you just petted. Nothing at all.

  14. Ahh, they are brave! Following in mama’s foodie foot steps :)

  15. That’s so funny!

  16. I am so afraid to hold one of those.

  17. That’s so nice that they let them check it out!

  18. They go on a field trip to our local super market in 2nd grade. It’s such a fun experience

  19. HAHAHA! Your kids are too cute.

  20. Mine would so still eat it. lol.

  21. That’s neat.

  22. LOL, looks like fun, although I am not sure my boys would have touched the lobster.
