Thanks for visiting this week’s edition of {I Heart Lunch}!
I’m Keeley of KeeleyMcGuire.com and thrilled to be sharing one of our Allergy Friendly Fun Lunches with you today.
As a food allergy parent, packing school lunches isn’t a choice – it’s an everyday norm. Making sure that the foods I send in for my daughter are healthy, safe for her food allergy and intolerance, and special. Our kids miss out on enough as it is – class parties, field trips, and some restaurants – so by adding some flair to her lunch box, I can ensure she feels proud to pack lunch every day and never feels like she’s missing out.
Depending on your kiddos allergies, you may feel that your choices in foods are limited. Take what you can have and make it fun with simple touches like fun food picks, cookie or veggie cutters, and even by adding colorful silicone cups.
This lunch pictured is a great example! Simple, right? It really is. Turkey & cheese rolled up and made fun on two picks. The radishes and carrots surrounding it are cut out with veggie cutters that make it fun with little to no effort. We’ve also packed yogurt with Enjoy Life brand Top 8 Free Very Berry Granola and red seedless grapes. Include a sweet Lunchbox Love Note for an added smile!
As pictured, this lunch is gluten (wheat) free, nut free, and egg free. Have a soy allergy? Just make sure your yogurt & lunch meats are soy free. Dairy allergy? Use rice or soy cheese and yogurt, or you could even spread a yummy dairy free cream cheese on the turkey and roll up with that instead.

Time to share your lunch! What fun lunch boxes have you been packing for your family?
You can link to any kid-lunch/bento or family-friendly recipe on a blog post or via flickr photos — this linky is for any kind of healthy school lunch and kid-food, regardless if it is Bento-style or not. I want to celebrate our efforts to provide good and enjoyable school lunches for our families!
My only request is that you either add a link back to this post or include the Lunch Graphic (which links back) to your post so others can get here to view the linked lunches too!
Link up your school lunches and bentos! Please use a permalink for your post rather than linking your general blog/flickr account URL — this will help people go directly to your fabulous lunch!
