Yep, the ol’ laptop is dead. Kaput. In the great electrical hereafter in the sky.
And, I miss him . . . her . . . it. (Awwww– I just realized I never took the time to determine the gender or name of my poor laptop. I’m such a sorry boss!)
Without my trusty laptop atop my lap I am no longer able to feed my blogging addiction. My Facebook addiction. My “mom forums” addiction. My IMDB “quick look-up” addiction.
Sigh.
My house is boring now.
The bad part of it all is the realization that I am the one responsible for killing the laptop.
Sigh.
I accidentally downloaded a virus. A bAAAAAAaaaaaaad virus. One that instantly locked me out of every program, corrupted my virus protection and sweeper, and sent pop-up after pop-up to flood my screen.
Then, it crashed.
But the even WORST part? I lost EVERY personal photo since October of 2008. Christmas, Halloween, and birthday pics of the Little Lady. Every picture taken of Mr. Boy . . . starting with the ones of his birth. Or, before birth — if you count my belly shots.
Wanna know what makes me cry? Losing pictures.
That is MUCH worse than not being able to look someone up on IMDB. Much worse than not being able to get on Facebook. MUCH worse than not being able to blog (and that, my friends, is something I thought I would never say).
The only pictures saved are the few I uploaded to my blog, Facebook, and Photobucket. Which, in comparison to the thousands of pictures on my laptop, is not very many.
Sigh (and sniff).
But, at least Facebook photos mean I still have this pic:
And this one:

Maybe things aren’t so bad after all.
