Have you heard I’m trying to change my life? Trying to change my waist-line? Trying to change my confidence level?
You have? Good — it’s all true. Every word.
Monday, I learned I am one of the five finalists for the current Mamavation Mom campaign. Me — a finalist — one of the few. Instantly, the pressure to win was ON.
(Did I mention I am EXTREMELY competitive beneath this pale, demure, green and blue exterior?)
Throughout the week, I’ve been utilizing everything at my disposal: Grandma, Facebook, Church groups, Twitter, Long Lost Relatives, Online Forums. . . .seriously, if you are connected to me in some way, you heard my “Vote for Me” speech this week.
But, in my competitive (and desperate to change my life) mindset, all of that just didn’t seem enough.
Which is why . . . this . . . happened.
Yes, my friends — I have been driven to song.
