What is a two year old to do during a long car ride?
Why, see how many different ways she can hold her snacks, of course!
It’s all Chevy’s fault. . . or General Motors, if you want to be specific, that my two year old spent hours stuffing her toes with pretzels.
You see, they gave us a 2010, gorgeous Chevy Malibu (a “tricked out” one, to quote Hubby) to use for our excursion to the Houston Mom Blogger weekend at Great Wolf Lodge.
Hold up! WHAT? Blogger weekend? Great Wolf Lodge? Free car?????
(Yes, be jealous. I give you permission.)
Seriously, thanks to the generosity of Chevy and Great Wolf Lodge, the Little Lady had the time of her LIFE!

Somehow (and, I’m still trying to figure this out) I was chosen to be one of nine Houston area bloggers who were invited for a complimentary stay at the (completely) awesome indoor waterpark . . .AKA Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. Nine of us — and I was the ONE lowly “nobody” blogger of the group. The only one who had not published a book, spoken at a blogging conference, turned my blog into anything productive . . . the only one “unread” (so to speak). But, whatever — I was invited. Woo hoo!

As I mentioned, not only were we given lodging and water passes, but one of our local Chevy dealerships provided each family with a new vehicle to make the trip as easy as possible.
Oh yeah, and Chevy provided pretzels for the trip.
And those awesome little sticks with the addictive cheese sauce.

There are many pictures and stories to come — there’s just no way to share everything in one post.
Not, mind you, that I am going to be writing an official “review” post. Sorry, this just isn’t that kind of blog and I’m not that kind of writer.
But, it doesn’t matter; when I spoke with the PR Director for Great Wolf Lodge, discussing the park’s amenities and uses, she stressed the purpose of Great Wolf Lodge is to help families create memories, traditions . . . .so that is what I’ll be sharing. The crazy, fun, and sometimes horrible memories from our excursion. Oh, and by “horrible” I’m talking about the kind of “horrible” that happens when you travel any distance with two kids . . .you know, those lovely little mishaps and adventures like having to go to the bathroom on the side of the interstate because you can’t let a trip mess with potty-training. (sigh)
As mentioned, I wasn’t the only one invited and certainly won’t be the only one with tons of info, pics, and tales to share.
