I didn’t think I would ever, EVER find anything that disgusted me more than a fat cat licking the ketchup bottle on a restaurant table.
I. Was. WRONG!
It seems that the Today Show decided to investigate the dirty side of our lovely lingerie departments. What? The “dirty side?” Yes — the dirty side. The disgusting side. The revolting side. The “this is gonna make ya wanna hurl” side.
The bottom line (I promise — no pun intended)? Major retailers — Macy’s, Victoria Secret, and Gap (among others), were caught RESELLING USED UNDERWEAR and swimsuits.
Gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross.
Yeah. Reselling them. Putting them BACK on the rack . . . without even bothering to CLEAN them. One whistle-blower (a former Victoria Secret employee) stated that if there was an obvious “odor,” the underwear would be left to “air out” over night and put back out for sale the next day.
Seriously? Really?
Of course, the retailers, upon being informed of the investigation, promptly stated that they were reeducating their employees and that it was not their policy to sell used/worn clothing.
They better be reeducating their Houston employees . . . I am in the process of weaning Mr. Boy from nursing and have been Oh SO Excited at the prospect of REAL bras foundation garments. Now, I’m actually thinking about sticking with my unbelievably comfortable and unbelievably unflattering nursing tanks.
Oh, crap. What if my nursing tanks were “worn and returned items?” I know I washed them prior to use, but UGH!
