Several weeks ago, the unborn Barney Kneeknuckles decided I could once again eat chocolate.
Huzzah! The era of the chocolate aversion was over. I celebrated with all the chocolatey goodness I could find . . . . in a Hot Fudge Sundae Cake.
(one of my favorite and EASIEST desserts to make)
To sum it up in one word? Scrumptious. Or, decadent. Or, sublime. Or, “The-Freaking-Best-Chocolate-Dessert-You-Will-Ever-Put-In-Your-Mouth.”
(hyphens totally turn all of that into one word)
I discovered this recipe a little over seven years ago when, as a newlywed bride, I browsed through my new Betty Crocker cookbook, looking for something to assuage my chocolate cravings.
This dessert did just that … and then some.
Since then, I’ve made it over and over and over, tweaking it to suit my chocolate palate, and usually eating the majority of it myself. And, when my little bun in the oven finally decided to relinquish his or her hold over my cravings and aversions, it was to this warm, rich dessert I turned.
Sigh . . I want some more.
