Between me, my sister and my sister-in-law, there were three new babies born in 2011. . . three new babies and three new sleep deprived mamas.

(Oy, sleep … or the lack thereof … seems to be a reoccurring theme around this blog)

Each time I am around one of these ladies, one named Sarah and one Sarabeth (yeah, my kidlets have called each one the other’s name more than once), we talk about being tired.  Fatigued.  Bone-Weary.

We’re always in desperate need of coffee… or, everyone around us desperately needs us to drink our coffee.

This past month, I been dallying with a new Joe in my cup: Dunkin’ Donuts Original Blend Coffee.

Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee at Grocery

For those who adore the addictive dark liquid served along side the edibles at Dunkin’ Donuts,the ablity to purchase their roasts in a grocery store is a dream come true.

That’s right — Dunkin’ Donuts can come home with you anytime you visit your grocery store.

“Huzzah!“, cry we the coffee drinkers of the world.  Getting our “DD” fix can now happen in the comfort of our own kitchens and our own jammies … no need to change out of bathrobes or attempt to fix our bed-head.

We can drink our coffee anytime we want.

It’s a new day for Dunkin’ Donut coffee lovers.

You can check the Dunkin’ Donuts site to see where to find any of their eight varieties for sale.  Most of the blends come in three sizes and range in price from $8.99 (for the 11 and 12 oz packages) to $19.99 (for a 37 or 40 oz package).

(while there, you can also sign up for promotions, perks, coupons, and more!)

So How Does It Compare

I was pleased with my Dunkin’ Donuts coffee — and, according to my husband, I’m picky about my coffee.  Personally, I don’t know that I’m picky so much as particular.

Coffee passing my lips must be three things: hot, strong and full-flavored.  None of this thin, watery, weak, “light roast” junk for me.  I want a coffee with personality and the ability to get my synapses firing in the morning.

(not always an easy feat)

The Dunkin Donuts at Grocery “Original Blend” meets my three criteria — easily.  Of course, in all honesty, I did make it a tad stronger than suggested, but (after all) *I* was the one making it.  In my kitchen.  By myself . . . ’cause Dunkin’ Donuts says I can.

Try It Out Yourself {giveaway CLOSED}

One reader will win two packages of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee  —  one package of their Original Blend and one package of the Decaf Original blend — and two Dunkin’ Donuts coffee mugs.

You’ll be all set and ready to enjoy a perfect cuppa’ at home.

To Enter {mandatory}

Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite way or time to enjoy a cup of coffee.

Is it first thing in the morning with a muffin … as a mid-day pick me up … do you save it for “quiet time” after everyone else has gone to be?  Or, are you one of those (like me) who can take a cup of coffee anytime, anywhere?  Let me know!
