The Scream Heard ‘Round The World

My poor husband.

I’m sure we’ve all heard of “flight or fight”, right? The idea that, when scared, cornered, confronted, we all either respond in fight mode — ready to take on our aggressors — or we enter into flight — running away from our problem.

Hubby has a very strong fight reflex. Very strong.

Monday night, at 8:50 pm, it came out in full force . . . all because I screamed. Loud — an splitting, glass shattering, full on soprano, scary movie scream.

He bounded out of the kitchen, his right hand balled in a fist, ready to punch whatever boogie man was in the room with me.

Hubby found me on the couch, my laptop in front of me, staring at a twitter-fest known as the “Mamavation Launch Party.”

This was the cause of my outburst:

(Goodness, I nearly want to start screaming again!)

That’s RIGHT, people — our hard work paid OFF!  I (along with Kim of Mentally Inked) am one of the new Mamavation Moms!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no way to explain how excited I am over this news or to fully express how grateful I am over the outpouring of support from my family, friends, and the blogging community (which means pretty much ALL OF YOU).

People I knew and didn’t know voted and/or left some of the most encouraging comments here — comments that made me smile and feel confident that (even if I didn’t win) I would be able to overcome my weight issues.

You all rock!

And, I haven’t forgotten my promise!  I won and now it’s someone else’s turn!!!!

Wednesday, Hannah and I will announce the two winners of our “If I Win, You Win” contests.  I wish I could draw the winners now, but since Blogger doesn’t automatically number their comments, I have to do a bit of code tweaking on Hannah’s blog.  Once her comments are numbered, we will be using Random.Org to determine who gets to pick their gift cards!!!!!!!!!  WOO HOO!!!!

Again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Heading to bed now . . . I’m freaking EXHAUSTED!  Campaigning can wear a girl out!)
