Joining Open Sky

I am THRILLED to reveal the truth behind the “Something Exciting is Coming” badge I’ve had on my blog for a couple of weeks.

On August 10th, my Open Sky shop will go LIVE.

If you watched GMA this past Monday morning, you heard a little bit about the Open Sky concept, but if you’re one of the unfortunate ones who missed the segment, keep reading.  This is exciting stuff, folks.

What Is Open Sky

Open Sky was started in 2009 as a way to revolutionize and personalize the online shopping experience.  Buyers (like me and you) are put into direct contact with sellers who actually USE the products they are selling.

Who are these sellers?  Moms, dads, single adults, retirees, professionals . . . basically, if you are a consumer, you can be an Open Sky seller and add to your income!  (The profits from any sales are split 50/50 between Open Sky and the seller.)

The main idea is that YOU, the seller, only sell/recommend product you use . . . not products you are “paid” to recommend. . . products you legitimately use.  Honesty and transparency in the seller’s recommendations is what makes the Open Sky concept brilliant.

Going to Sell

My shop is still being built and stocked, but when it opens on August 10th, you’ll find primarily two types of items: healthy living goods and childrens learning activity items.

Healthy Living Goods: I can’t tell you how many times people ask about my weight loss. . . the plan I follow and the food/tools I use.  Because I KNOW these products work and will be able to help others with their healthy living goals, I will be including them in my shop.

Learning/Activity Items for Children: As you may have inferred from some of my posts (as well as my old “School in the Kitchen” blog), we do tot-school/preschool at home for the Little Lady and Mr. Boy.  Both with their structured learning time and their play time, I use a variety of aids and manipulatives to help them grasp age appropriate concepts and to help the development of their gross/fine motor skills.  I will work hard to make sure anything I use and that my children LOVE will be available in my shop.

personal info

NO!  Open Sky will handle the transactions, process your shopping cart, and will make sure your selections arrive on time.  I will have absolutely ZERO access to your personal and/or financial information.  I’m just here to make recommendations, people.  Believe me, that’s the only responsibility I want!

Get Involved

Absolutely!  As Tory Johnson (from Good Morning America) reported, Open Sky is an excellent way for anyone to earn additional income.  If you’re interested, head to the OpenSky site to learn more and apply!

Then, in the meantime, wait with me and count down till my OpenSky shop opens!!!
