The Little Lady loves the great outdoors — animals, birds, bugs, lizards, slugs, and snakes.
Oh, and snails. She LOVES snails, as seen in our little version of National Geographic — shot this past spring.
(she is the very antithesis of her Mommy)
But, the girl who wasn’t afraid to touch a snail FINALLY discovered something “yucky.”
PUMPKINS
Our adventure in the world of this fall fruit started well — she was excited, eager to cut open the pumpkin and see and taste what was good.
With every ounce of my ferocious “Mama Guns,” I drove the knife into the monster pumpkin and cut it into.
(Actually, I lack any muscles whatsoever, so cutting into that thing was nearly a ten minute process. Don’t judge)
At first, she had no problem with the soft, seedy interior. All was well.
Then, the Little Lady stopped. Stared. And found herself, for the first time, repulsed by nature.
“Ew!”
“I don’ like it!”
“Dis is YUCKY.”
“GROSS, Mommy!”
From that point on, there would be no more smiles.
