When the Little Lady was born, she quickly became used to the flash of a camera. By the end of her first week, there were over 700 pictures taken of that child.
(no exaggeration, folks)
Within my picture folder, I have her photos organized in sub-folders labeled by month, year, and holidays. There are, by now, probably over 10,000 pictures of her.
And, when she started smiling, babbling, cooing, sitting, crawling, and walking, I was always there with the video camera — ready to capture and preserve those big milestones.
She was a first child.
Mr. Boy is a second child.
And I have been a very bad mommy.
I’m not hovering over him all day long, camera on and ready to blind his blue eyes with a bright flash.
I don’t have his pics organized at ALL . . . other than being in a folder labeled, “Mr. Boy.”
And, until this week, I had not captured one milestone on video.
Not ONE.
Over the past few weeks, Mr. Boy has begun toddling around — a few steps here . . . a few steps there. Did I whip out the camera? Um, no — I think we’ve covered that I stink at recording his big moments.
Worst. Mommy. Ever.
(sigh)
I tried redeeming myself last night, after Hubby said (more than once), “We don’t have any video of Mr. Boy.”
Without further ado . . . I present you with the cutest “Second Child” God ever made.
