If you follow me on Instagram (I’m there as “followinginmyshoes”), you saw glimpses of a crazy life this week.
We had a curious and determined toddler who just KNEW there had to be at least one cabinet or drawer that did NOT have a child lock on it.
We had a moving crew who brought all of our furniture into the new home … and who patiently dealt with me as I volleyed between rooms trying to decide where to put the piano. A certain husband had told me the piano would NEVER be moved again so this, obviously, was a very. very. important. decision.
We had two older Kidlets who, after exploring the entire house, found the *perfect*, no-little-brothers-allowed sanctuary. In MY bathroom. Needless to say, it wasn’t long before I had to reclaim MY space.
We had a long day. A tired day. A silly day. A stressful day. But, at the end of it, we had our new home. And stories read in this home somehow sound a little sweeter than they did before.
Here’s to our new home… new neighborhood… new life. Now, excuse me whilst I empty a few more boxes while trying to keep Kidlets from destroying everything I pull out.
