This weekend is going to be another first for us (in a long year of “first” thanks to having a third kidlet): Barney Kneeknuckles First Trip To The Beach!
(aka: the first time Mommy and Daddy lose their ever-lovin-minds and try to take three kids on a day trip to the beach)
I really don’t know what came over us when we put the beach on our calendar. It has been a year since our last beach trip — back when there were only two kidlets.
Now? Three kids? In sand? And Gulf waters? Oy!
But . . . but . . . I keep reminding myself our inlaws will be there. Rallying around us and allowing us to once again play man-to-man coverage instead of zone defense.
(I’ve learned a lot of football terminology this year thanks to the Husband’s metaphors)
It’s all good, right?
The Little Lady and I sat down at the dinner table last night, in those last few minutes before blessed bed-time, and made our “beach bag list” for the trip. According to her list, we only need to throw some grapes, her swimsuit (and hers alone), her baby doll, and some cheese into our bag and we’re good to go.
Um, I don’t think so Little Lady.

Am I missing anything from that list???
Lipton Honey & Tea
Yeah, about the tea on my list. . .
I first came across it last month when visiting my sister; she had a water bottle in her vehicle’s cup-holder but there wasn’t water in it! I saw little dark leaves and red liquid. I looked at her out of the corner of my eye: “Uhhhh … care to explain what that is?”
Sarah went on to tell me about the Lipton Tea packets and how she used them to flavor her water. “I was in a hurry and didn’t shake that one enough, so that’s why some of the leaves didn’t dissolve. But it’s good!”
Color me intrigued.
In your grocery store, you’ll find five different varieties: Peach Apricot Iced Black Tea, Lemon Iced Black Tea, Blackberry Pomegranate Iced Green Tea, Mango Pineapple Iced Green Tea, and Strawberry Acai Decaffeinated Green Tea.
So many choices and available in both single serving and pitcher sizes???
Well, this week, I decided not to wait any longer. I tried the tea — three different flavors, to be exact.
Lemon Iced Black Tea, Blackberry Pomegranate Iced Green Tea and Mango Pineapple Iced Green Tea.
For days when I’m tired of hydrating with flavorless water … for days when I need a low-calorie treat, the Lipton Honey & Tea packets are there to save me.
- The tea is only 5 calories per 8 oz serving.
- The tea is sweetened with honey.
- The tea is made from real tea leaves and real fruit flavors
Lipton Honey & Tea is there when I need a little flavor in my day.
Oh, and my favorite? The flavor that just makes my taste-buds sing?
Mango-Pineapple. Yum!
