Let’s Talk About Smooth Fitness

The new Mamavation Mom campaign is starting soon; two new moms will take on the challenge of a 7 week healthy living boot-camp. With the help of a nutritionist, a behavior modification coach, and a nationally certified fitness expert, these two ladies will have the opportunity to lose weight and, more importantly, transform into healthy mamas.

A Smooth Fitness treadmill is another tool these two lucky ladies will have at their disposal to help shed the weight and get their heart rates up, up, UP!

Even though my Mamavation boot-camp ended over a month ago, I still use my treadmill every morning.  Every. Single. Morning. Even now that Hubby and I have joined our local YMCA and other cardio machines available, I still hop on my personal treadmill.

Why?

Because this machine helped me DROP fifteen pounds and nearly fifteen inches over the course of my seven week boot-camp.

It was faithful to me and I will always be faithful to it.

Of course, it also has some GREAT features that makes it (1) easy to use, (2) safe to have around with young kids, and (3) comfortable to use as a cardio option.

Easy to Use

Lots of options/modes available.

To get started, you simply flip the switch, hop on and choose how fast you want to run and how steep you want the incline.  Hit start and off . . . you . . . go!

As a Mamavation Mom, I had to (and still) complete 35 minutes of “intervals;” each interval set consists of  3 minutes at a 5.0 mph jog, followed by 1 minute at 6.0 mph/raised incline.  It’s killer but effective.

If you don’t have a set treadmill routine, the Smooth Fitness 5.65 treadmill (the model used by Mamavation Moms) has plenty of pre-programmed options.  You can select programs designed to push you with speed, incline, or both.

Safety Mode

Inserting the Safety Key

As a mom of a “monkey-see, monkey do” little girl and an infant who loves to climb, I was thrilled to learn that the treadmill only works when the safety mode key is plugged in.  This key is up high on the panel; my little ones can’t reach it and, thus, even if they every realize where the power switch is, they won’t be able to run the machine.

Comfort

It’s hard to imagine that you could be comfortable while running — huffing, puffing and sweating — but Smooth Fitness does their best to make your run, jog or walk as comfortable as possible

How?

With dual-speed fans and speakers for your music device.  That’s right; the treadmill cools you off AND lets you escape a tangled web of earphone wires.

LOVE this fan!

The Bottom Line

While running isn’t my absolutely, hands-down favorite activity, I honestly have enjoyed it more with this treadmill and the features it offers.  I am so thankful that Smooth Fitness continues to be committed to helping Mamavation Moms transform their lives.

*Disclosure: I received my Smooth Fitness treadmill as part of my fitness package for being a Campaign 4 Mamavation Mom; I was neither compensated for this post nor am I being compensated for displaying their ad on my site or in this post.  This review of my Smooth Fitness treadmill reflects my honest opinions/experience with this machine.
