They only like the ocean a "little" bit.
One by one, we’re crossing off adventures from our Summertime Fun List.
Go to the beach? Check.
Go fishing? Check.

Don't you just love when you realize LATER there was a big ol' fingerprint on your lens? Sigh.
Did I have “Go Crabbing” on my list? I should have . . . ’cause, that’s really all we caught on our recent “Take Me Fishing” adventure.
We snagged little crabs.

Despite loving slugs and other critters, the Little Lady wasn't too sure about this guy.
And a GINORMOUS, “I-Think-This-Guy-Could-Take-Me-Down-In-A-Dark-Alley” crab.

By the way? Mr. Crab ended up snapping that stick. Eek!
Crabs, crabs, and more crabs.
That was it.
I’m thinking we’re not great “fisher-people.” Maybe next year????
p.s. Did you miss celebrating National Fishing and Boating Week? Don’t fret — Texas and many other states are offering yearlong free fishing through their state parks. Check with your state’s Parks and Recreation (or Parks and Wildlife) department to learn more!
Disclosure: I received no monetary compensation for sharing this info, but I did receive a fishing pole set and other equipment to help my kidlets enjoy Take Me Fishing Week. Any opinions or stories shared in this post are completely my own.
