The journey to choosing English Literature as my college major had many detours along the way. First, I was a Journalism major … then Religion … then Musical Theater … then Vocal Performance … then English with an emphasis on Secondary Education … and THEN I settled on English Literature.
While, I changed my mind (frequently) there is one area into which I never ventured: MATH.
(dum, dum, DUM)
Math and I don’t play well together. I remember NOTHING from my upper level math courses and I’m pretty sure I slept my way through Honors Calculus.
But, there is one element of Math that I can get behind: Pi. 3.14159-yaddi-yadda-yadda. I know that the number is really important but, honestly, I only like the number because it sounds like Pie. And Pie??? I LOVE pie. Especially Pizza Pies.
Have I mentioned before that I love pizza? Let’s review some of my recipes:
- Shaved Asparagus Pizza
- Grilled Chicken Alfredo Pizza
- Grilled Chicken and Kale Pizza
- Chicken & Black Bean Flatbread Pizza
- Whole Wheat Pizza Crust
- Spinach Artichoke Pizza (a recipe I developed for 5 Minutes for Mom)
- Whole Wheat Pizza Rolls (another recipe I developed for 5 Minutes for Mom)
I. Lurve. PIZZA.
So, yeah … celebrating March 14th as National Pi Day (hoo-ray for 3.14159 and all the numbers that follow) is something I can do. With a slice of GRAIN-FREE pizza in my hand this year. Yes, folks, I have a new collection for you — 14 Grain Free Pizza Recipes.
You’re welcome.
p.s. #1: Why is March 14th National Pi Day? Because it’s 3-14 … the first three numbers of Pi. Now isn’t that clever!
